Thembisile Hani (English: Thembisile Hani Local Municipality ; formerly Thembisile Local Municipality ) is a municipality in the Nkangala district in the South African province of Mpumalanga . The seat of the municipality is eMpumalanga (formerly Kwaggafontein ).

The community is named after the then chairman of the South African Communist Party , Chris Thembisile Hani , who was murdered in 1993 .

The community is run by the African National Congress ; Mayor is Nomsa Mtshweni.
