Thomas Hohler

Thomas Hohler (born March 7, 1985 in Bottrop ) is a German musical actor and singer. Thomas Hohler became known for his leading role of the young nobleman d'Artagnan in the stage entertainment production 3 Musketeers at the Apollo Theater in Stuttgart .

Life

In elementary school he took part in theater performances as an actor and singer. From 1996 to 1997 he played the main child role of Gavroche in the musical Les Misérables in Duisburg . Thomas took singing, piano and dance lessons at the music school in Bottrop. He gained further stage experience in the musical Hair in 2002 , where he played the leading role of Claud Hooper Bukowski at the Consoltheater in Gelsenkirchen and the Les Halles in Düsseldorf . He gave several solo concerts in his hometown of Bottrop. In 2006 he played in the ensemble and the second cast of d'Artagnan in the musical Three Musketeers at the Theater des Westens in Berlin . In November 2006 he received the leading role of d'Artagnan at the Apollo Theater in Stuttgart. From April 2008 he appeared in the musical Elisabeth at the Theater des Westens Berlin in the ensemble and as cover Lucheni on stage. In October 2008 he then went on tour with the musical. In 2011 and 2014 Thomas Hohler was on stage at the Freilichtspiele Tecklenburg, in 2014 for the musical Sunset Boulevard (musical) . From 2014–2015 he played again in the musical Elisabeth, in the tour production in Shanghai, Essen, Munich and Linz. In the summer of 2016 he returned to Tecklenburg and was part of both Artus Excalibur and the musical Saturday Night Fever .

2016–2017 he played in the tour production as Emanuel Schikaneder and Cover Mozart at Mozart! The musical , which appeared in Duisburg and Shanghai. As Nick Hurley, he will also be involved in the Flashdance production at the Staatstheater Darmstadt in the 2016/17 season . In the summer of 2017, Hohler was again part of the Freilichtspiele Tecklenburg - in the musical version of the film Shrek he was seen as a donkey and in the musical Rebecca he played the part of Frank Crawley.

A cappella is a particular passion of Thomas Hohler . In addition to his arrangements, he sings with the Berlin a cappella band TuneFisch . With this he released the album Butter bei die Fisch !!! in July 2007. , on which he interprets two English-language titles as lead singer. Otherwise he takes on his part on the album as a rock tenor in the band.

  • September 2005. Winner of the Berlin State Choir Competition in the jazz vocal / a cappella category, as a member of the “MusiCall” choir.
  • July 2006. Winner of the Ward Swingle Award in bronze in the POP and Comedy categories with his band TUNEFISCH at the "international singing competition 2006 VOKAL TOTAL" in Graz / Austria.
