Tina Holmes (born 1973 in New York City , New York ) is an American actress .

life and career

Tina Holmes grew up in New York City and Connecticut . She studied at Yale University for two years . A short time later she moved to France , where she studied French and literature at the Sorbonne University . After Holmes returned to the United States, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in literature from Brown University . She then went back to France to work on a documentary about the famous writer and poet Jean Genet . She also spent part of her studies at the Federal University of Pernambuco in Brazil .

Before Holmes became an actress, she worked on many documentaries, including those of Bruce Weber and Robert Mitchum . She produced the documentary You're Nobody Until Somebody Loves You . After working as a producer and a director, she decided to become an actress.

Holmes began her acting career in 1998 in Edge of Seventeen . The film 30 Days followed in 1999 and the films The Photographer and Prince of Central Park in 2000 . Tina Holmes had guest appearances in television series such as Third Watch - Einsatz am Limit , Emergency Room - Die Notaufnahme , Strong Medicine: Two doctors like fire and ice , 24 , Cold Case - No victim is ever forgotten , Dr. House and private practice . She was also seen as Maggie Sibley in the last season of Six Feet Under . In 2010, she starred in the short-lived NBC series Persons Unknown .
