Tom Høgli (born February 20, 1984 in Harstad ) is a former Norwegian national soccer player .

society

Høgli began playing football in the offspring of Skånland og Omegn IF . From there he was drawn to the offspring of FK Bodø / Glimt . On September 21, 2003, Høgli made his professional debut when he came on for André Hanssen in the 3-0 win at FK Bodø on Matchday 21 of the Tippeligæn against Brann Bergen . It was also his only use in the 2003 season. In the following season , Høgli was also at best a substitute player and only played in 13 games of the Tippeligæn, which is played in calendar year mode. In the following season Høgli was a regular. In 17 games he played 15 times over 90 minutes. Bodø-Glimt, however, rose from bottom of the table. His team missed the return to the Tippeligaen in the Adeccoligaen , as they were only fifth.

In early 2007 Høgli moved to Tromsø IL . For the 2011/12 season he went to Belgium for Club Bruges . On August 7, 2011 he made his debut for the Flemings when he came on for Jannes Vansteenkiste in the 77th minute of the 3: 3 against VV St. Truiden on the second matchday of the 1st division . This season he made 23 appearances for Club Brugge. On September 15, he was used for the first time in the first Europa League group game against NK Maribor . Høgli came to a total of five appearances in the Europa League. He was eliminated with Bruges in the round of 32 against Hannover 96 . From 2014 to the end of 2017 he played for the Danish top club FC Copenhagen and won the championship twice and the national cup three times. On January 1st, 2018 he moved back to his Norwegian homeland to Tromsø IL in the Eliteserien . At the end of the calendar year he ended his active career there.

National team

In 2005 and 2006, Høgli played four international matches for Norway's U-21s . On August 20, 2008, Høgli made his debut for the senior team in a 1-1 draw against Ireland in the starting eleven. He achieved victories with the national team against more highly rated teams like Germany (1-0 in February 2009 in Düsseldorf ) or France (2-1 in August 2010 in Oslo ). However, Høgli has not yet been able to qualify for a tournament. He played his last international match on November 12, 2015 and has not been nominated since.

Sápmi

In November 2006 Høgli nachm with the non-official selection of Sápmi at the Viva World Cup in Occitan and won it. In three games scoring full-back six goals there.
