Tom Hulce
Thomas Edward Hulce (born December 6, 1953 in Whitewater , Jefferson County , Wisconsin ) is an American actor and film producer . He was best known worldwide for the personification of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the 1984 film Amadeus and was nominated for an Oscar .
Life
Hulce first worked on Broadway . He became popular through his role as Mozart in Miloš Forman's film Amadeus . For this he received a nomination for the Oscar in the category Best Actor , but had to admit defeat to F. Murray Abraham , who played Mozart's opponent Antonio Salieri in the same film .
He lent his voice to Quasimodo in the Disney film The Hunchback of Notre Dame . The German dubbing voice of Tom Hulce comes from the actor Detlev Eckstein .
He has not appeared as a film and television actor since 2008. Before that, he had worked in around 30 productions since 1975.
