Tomislav Grozaj (born August 7, 1985 in Zagreb , Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian ice hockey player who was last under contract with KHL Zagreb in the Croatian ice hockey league until 2015 . He was also a national inline hockey player in his country.
Career
Clubs
Tomislav Grozaj began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown at KHL Zagreb , which he left at the age of 15 to play in the Czech youth leagues for the next five years. In his last junior year he played for the former European Cup and Spengler Cup winner HC Kometa Brno . 2005 returned to his home club, for which he played in both the Croatian and Slovenian leagues . In Slovenia he was the top scorer and top scorer in the league in 2006. In 2007 he moved to local rivals KHL Mladost Zagreb , with whom he won both the Pannonian League and the Croatian Championship in 2008. From 2009 to 2011 he also played in the Slohokej League . In 2011 he moved again to KHL Zagreb, for which he played in the Croatian league again until 2015.
International
For Croatia , Grozaj took part in the junior division II of the U18 World Cup in 2003 and the U20 World Championships in 2003 in Division I and in 2004 and 2005 in Division II.
In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the Division I tournaments of the 2003 , 2006 , 2008 , 2009 and 2010 World Championships as well as the Division II tournaments of the 2004 and 2005 World Championships , when, as the tournament's top scorer, he was instrumental in promoting the Croatians in Division I contributed in 2007 and 2011 . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver .
Inline hockey
In addition to ice hockey, Grozaj also played inline hockey and was part of the Croatian national team , with which he started in Division I at the IIHF Inline Hockey World Championship 2013 in Dresden and was the top scorer of the tournament with nine goals.
