The 53rd Tour de l'Avenir 2016 was a French road bike race for juniors and U23 riders. The stage race took place from 20 to 27. August 2016 instead. The bike race was also part of the UCI Europe Tour 2016 and the U23 Nations Cup 2016 . It was classified in the 2nd NCup category and is considered the Tour de France for young riders .
