Trebra (noble family)
The von Trebra family is an old Thuringian - Saxon noble family with the headquarters of the same name in Nieder- Trebra or near Apolda .
history
Trebra Castle was first mentioned in 1145 and the family in 1207. Heinrich von Trebra went on the crusade in 1227 with the Thuringian Landgrave Ludwig . The family first appeared in a document on May 3, 1326 with the knights Ulrich, Botho and Johann von Trebere as Burgmannen to Heldrungen . The tribe series begins in 1408 with Albrecht von Trebra , bailiff of Sachsenburg . Later, the family owned the Rittergüter in Allstedt , Artern , Braunsroda , Bretleben , Eckartsberga , Etzleben , Gehofen , Heldrungen, Hergisdorf , Kannawurf , Leimbach , Lindenau , Nausitz (1582-1608), Oberfarnstedt , Reinsdorf , Neustädtel , Schönfeld , Teutleben and Voigtstedt . She is related by marriage to the von Rockhausen family on church divorces.
The family is not related to the "Schenken von Trebra", which belong to the Thuringian family "Schenken von Tautenburg", which in turn comes from the " Schenken von Vargula ". The “ Marschalls von Trebra” also do not belong to this, but to the Thuringian family Marschall , who named themselves after their estates.

The coat of arms shows two slanted golden bars in black . On the helmet with black and gold covers three (gold-black-gold) ostrich feathers.
