Trinko Keen
Trinko Keen (born September 22, 1971 in Wageningen ) is a former Dutch table tennis player . He was vice European champion in doubles.
National successes
Keen is left handed. At the Dutch Championships he won six titles in singles (1996, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2007) and twelve titles in doubles (1990, 1991 with Casper Mol, 1992-1995 and 1999-2004 with Danny Heister ).
International activities
From 1989 to 2007 Keen took part in twelve world championships . He finished fifth to eighth with the Dutch team in 2000 . Between 1992 and 2008 he was nominated seven times for European championships . Here he achieved his greatest success in 2008 when he reached the final in doubles with Austrian Werner Schlager , which was lost 3: 4 to the German doubles Timo Boll / Christian Süß . He reached the semi-finals at the European Championships in 1998 in singles and in 2002 in doubles with Danny Heister .
In the European ranking tournament TOP-12 , in which he competed six times, he always came in between nine and eleven. In 1997 and 2001 he played in the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals . In 1997 he made it to the quarter-finals in doubles, as well as in 2001 in singles, after defeating Timo Boll in the first round.
In 1996 , 2000 and 2004 he qualified for participation in the Summer Olympics. Here he never came close to medal ranks. He also qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in accordance with the criteria of the world association ITTF . However, the National Olympic Committee of the Netherlands denied him participation in this tournament because he did not meet its requirements.
In the ITTF world rankings , he was last listed in September 2009, where he finished 72nd. His best placement was 18th in April 2002.
In 2008, Trinko Keen ended his international career.

Keen played for the Belgian club Center la Louviere until 1993 , then he joined the German Bundesliga club TTC Jülich . The other stations:

In the European team competition ETTU Cup he won the title in 1998/99 with TTC Jülich and in 2004/05 with SV Plüderhausen. He won the Champions League in 2009/10 with Borussia Düsseldorf .

Trinko Keen has two sisters, Dieke and Gerdie, the national table tennis player .
