Uğurludağ is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Çorum . The city is located about 45 kilometers west of the provincial capital Çorum on the western slope of the Köse Dağı mountain range on a tributary of the Kızılırmak, which flows about ten kilometers to the north . It houses almost half of the district's population (2018: 46.5%).

The district is located in the center of the province. It borders the central district in the east, the Sungurlu district in the south and west and the Bayat and İskilip districts in the north . As an inland district, it has no common borders with other provinces.

The district was formed in 1987 and split off from the southern part of İskilip district. The entire former Bucak Uğurludağ with 17 villages ( Köy ) and the administrative municipality ( Bucak Merkezi ) Uğurludağ formed the new district. The Bucak had a population of 14,110 inhabitants in the last census before the change of area (1985), of which 6,061 fell in the municipality of Uğurludağ.

Nowadays (2018) it consists of the district town and 20 villages with an average of 221 inhabitants. Aşılıarmut is the largest village with 511 inhabitants.
