Dodurga is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Çorum . The city is located about 40 kilometers north of the provincial capital Çorum and is home to almost half of the district's population (2018: 42.4%). The city is located on the east side of the Kavakdağ mountain range towards the valley of the Kızılırmak river , to the east of it is the İnegöl Dağı . The city was destroyed and rebuilt by earthquakes in 1910, 1935, 1942 and 1943. Dodurga was raised to Belediye in 1953 .

district

The district is in the north of the province. It borders in the southeast on the Laçin district , in the southwest on the Oğuzlar district and in the north on the Osmancık district . With a population density of 28 inhabitants per square kilometer, it is a little over half the provincial average (43).

The district of Dodurga was formed on May 20, 1990 from the Belediye and some villages of the Bucak of the central district ( Merkez ) Osmancık. In addition to the district town, it consists of 12 villages ( Köy ) with an average of 306 residents. Dikenli is the largest village with 727 inhabitants, in 1985 the place still had 1,402 inhabitants.
