The UEFA Futsal Champions League until the season 2017/18 UEFA Futsal Cup is a year since 2001 under the auspices of UEFA being transmitted Futsal tournament for club teams. The champions of the national associations and the defending champions are entitled to start. The tournament replaced the Futsal European Clubs Championship , which had been taking place since 1984 and was not recognized by the European governing body.
The 2001/02 UEFA Futsal Cup final was played in one game, with a return leg between 2002 and 2006, and finally as a Final Four tournament since the 2006/07 season.
The winner of the competition qualifies for the Futsal World Cup organized by FIFA .
The University Futsal Club Münster was the first German club team to qualify for the UEFA Futsal Cup (2006/07 season). In the preliminary round, the German representative reached a draw against the Austrian representative (USC Eugendorf), another draw and a defeat. In the final table, the people of Münster took third place, but missed the next round. USC Eugendorf (A) finished last in the group with one point.
In the 2007/08 season, Germany was represented by FV Eppelborn in Group C, Switzerland by Uni Futsal Team Bulle in Group A and Austria by Stella Rossa tipp3 in Group D. Stella Rossa was also the host in Group D. Stella Rossa narrowly missed promotion to the main round with two wins and one defeat. FV Eppelborn could not achieve a point in group A, Uni Futsal Club Bulle, however, was able to say goodbye to the competition with a victory in the final encounter.
