U 14 was a former class 206 submarine ofthe German Navy.

history

The boat was built by Rhein-Stahl-Nordseewerke in Emden. The keel was laid on March 1, 1970. The launch took place on February 1, 1972, the commissioning on April 19, 1973. It first served in the 1st submarine squadron in Kiel, later in the 3rd submarine squadron in Eckernförde.

Whereabouts

After its decommissioning on March 26, 1997, the submarine was to be sold to Indonesia. When this failed, the boat was wrecked.
