The launch took place on April 4, 1974, the commissioning took place on March 13, 1975. The submarine was stationed like all other submarines of the German Navy in Eckernförde. It belonged to the 1st submarine squadron of the German Navy.
Whereabouts
The boat was decommissioned on January 31, 2007. The Type 206 boats were the Type 212 submarine replaced. The submarine was scrapped.
