União de Freguesias the Tourais e Lajes , short Tourais e Lajes , is a Portuguese parish ( freguesia ) in the district ( Concelho ) of Seia , in District of Guarda . It covers an area of ​​26.18 km² and has 1714 inhabitants (as of 2011 figures).

The municipality was created in the course of the municipal reorganization of Portugal after the municipal elections on September 29, 2013, as a merger of the previous municipalities of Tourais and Lajes .

Tourais became the official seat of the new municipality, while the former municipal administration in Lajes was retained as a citizens' office.
