The village is located in Western Pomerania , about 15 kilometers southwest of the city of Lauenburg i. Pom. ( Lębork ).

history

Around 1784 in Groß Wunneschin or Wonschin there were two outworks, three farms, four cottages , a forge and a total of 17 fireplaces (households). The owner of the village was Caspar Friedrich v. Massow .

Until 1945, the village of Groß Wunneschin was part of the municipality of Wunneschin in the district of Lauenburg i. Pom.

Towards the end of the Second World War , the region was occupied by the Soviet Army at the beginning of March 1945 and some time later, together with all of Western Pomerania, it was placed under Polish administration. Subsequently, the immigration of Polish civilians began in the village. Groß Wunnescin received the Polish place name Unieszyno . In the following time Groß Wunneschin's old inhabitants were expelled .

Today's Unieszyno belongs to the powiat Lęborski ( Lauenburg district in Pomerania ) in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship (until 1998 Slupsk Voivodeship ). The place is part and official seat of Gmina Cewice . Today 221 people live here.
