Dziechlino ( German Ober Lischnitz , formerly Dzechlin ) is a village in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship . It belongs to the Gmina Nowa Wieś Lęborska (rural community Neuendorf) in the powiat Lęborski .

Geographical location

The village is located in Hinterpommern , about seven kilometers southwest of the city of Lauenburg in Pomerania ( Lębork ).

With Dzenzelitz or Dzechlin and other towns, the mortgaged in 1527 Pomeranian Prince , the two brothers Klaus and Stephan v. Thadden . From 1575 to 1621 the Tarmen family lived on the Dzechlin estate . Around 1784 Ernst Ludwig v. Pond of the landowners, around 1836 Hermann v. Pond.

In 1874, the Dzechlin estate was assigned to the Lischnitz district , which also included the Chotzlow estate, the Vitröse estate, the Vitröse community and the Lischnitz estate.

Until 1945 the village, now called Ober Lischnitz, was part of the municipality of Lischnitz in the district of Lauenburg i. Pom. , District of Köslin , the Pomeranian Province of the German Empire .

Towards the end of the Second World War , the region was occupied by the Red Army in the spring of 1945 . Soon afterwards the place was placed under Polish administration together with the whole of Western Pomerania . Then the immigration of Polish civilians began. Ober Lischnitz received the Polish place name Dziechlino . The Alteinwohner of the village were in the period that followed sold .
