A new life is a German television film by Isabel Kleefeld from 2006 . It is the eighth episode of the ZDF crime film series Unter Verdacht with Senta Berger as Dr. Eva Maria Prohacek in the lead role.

Detective Dr. Eva Maria Prohacek found a new love in Mr. Stewens. But when she finds a male corpse in his apartment, Prohacek is accused of murder. Your superior Dr. Claus Reiter is located and her assistant André Langner interrogates her. She had previously gone on vacation, where a young man harassed her with a conspiracy letter. The detective was unsettled by the attack, but ignored the incident and drove to the mountains to relax. From there she calls Langner to tell her her apartment has been devastated. Prohacek assumes that it must have been the man who also harassed her. But when she got home, she found him dead on the ground.
