Urška Poje from SK Loška Dolina made her international debut at the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2013 in Obertilliach , where a 22nd place in the individual was best result. A year later she was able to achieve a top ten placement in Presque Isle after a 21st place in the individual and a 23rd place in the sprint as ninth in the pursuit race. She also took part in junior races at the Summer Biathlon World Championships in Forni Avoltri in 2013 and in Tyumen in 2014 . In 2013, when she finished fourth in the mixed relay race, she missed a medal by just one place.
In 2014 Poje competed in her first IBU Cup race in Ridnaun and just missed the points as 42nd in a sprint. A little later , the debut in the biathlon world cup followed . In Ruhpolding she was on the side of Andreja Mali , Teja Gregorin and Anja Eržen 15th in a relay race. In the first relay race of the 2014/15 season she was able to finish 86th in a sprint and one day later with the relay in the same composition as tenth place for the first time a top ten result. In February 2018 she took part in the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang and achieved a 12th place in the individual. At the 2018 Biathlon Junior World Championships , she narrowly missed a medal in the sprint and came in fourth. In the 2018/19 season she won her only World Cup points with a 38th place in the sprint in Hochfilzen . After she only competed in one race in the 2019/20 season , she ended her career.
