Uwe Buschkötter

Uwe Buschkötter (born September 21, 1939 ) is a German composer , music publisher and owner of UBM Records, UBM Media and Largo Records.

Life

After an apprenticeship as a businessman, Buschkötter studied business administration.

In 1969 he took over the management of the Kurt Edelhagen Orchestra in Cologne. In 1972, he and Kurt Edelhagen produced the opening music for the XX. Olympic Games in Munich.

Buschkötter produced music especially for television for UBM Records. He worked with the German composers Anselm Kreuzer, Sebastian Halbe, Reinhard Schaub, Daniel Backes and Peter Moslener, Chris Walden and Klangraum.

Noteworthy is the CD production “Midnight” (2015) with the great soloist Till Brönner , the American tenor saxophonist Michael Brecker , the pianist George Whitty, the bassist Antony Jackson , the guitarist Dean Brown and the American drummer Dennis Chambers .

Awards

He received the German Record Critics' Prize for his Largo Records productions “Last Chapter” and “Earlier and Later” with the composer Berthold Goldschmidt, who emigrated to London .
