Die Kommissarin is a German television film by Max Färberböck from 1993, which was made as part of the Bella Block film series .

In her first case, Bella Block is confronted with a rampage in a befriended family while on vacation .

action

Commissioner Bella Block is honored for her 25th anniversary with the company. In doing so, she has to discover that the criminal cases she is working on have not changed to this day, and certainly not improved. After she was able to solve the death of a nine-year-old boy, she treats herself to a few days of vacation, which, as she has often done before, she spends in a holiday home owned by the Petersen family in the Frisian village of Rossbach. Werner Petersen recently sold his farm to Erich Schatthauer because agriculture is no longer profitable for him.

After Petersen discovers that Schatthauer is getting a multiple of his selling price by reselling the property, he feels betrayed and wants his farm back. When he was unsuccessful and had the feeling that he could not find support anywhere, he ran amok. Even his wife seems to be betraying him and so he shoots her in desperation. Then he leaves the house armed with a rifle and drives to Schatthauer to shoot him too. Bella Block follows him and can only prevent another murder by shooting Petersen. With this she breaks off her vacation and takes over the investigation in this case together with the local inspector. She quickly discovered the motives for Petersen's act and found out that Helga Petersen had a relationship with Erich Schatthauer before and during her marriage. In addition, Lissi Petersen is even Schatthauer's daughter, with whom he has been meeting very often and in a familiar way lately.

Bella Block confronts Erich Schatthauer with her findings, so that he finally loses his composure and wants to shoot himself. He refuses to admit that he has a love affair with his own daughter. The two do not notice that Lissi is secretly listening to everything. When Lissi wanted to confront Schatthauer, he was in the shower. In anger, she throws the radio at him and he is fatally electrocuted. Since Bella Block likes Lissi very much, she tries to protect her and gives her an alibi, so that Schatthauer's death is rated as an unfortunate accident. The commissioner then wants to give up her job and take care of the young girl.

criticism

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv said: “What begins like a contemplative vacation film develops into a hopeless rebellion of a small farmer against an entire village - and becomes a groundbreaking crime thriller of the 90s: 'Bella Block - Die Kommissarin', planned as a single piece , told with a physical force and scored with a terrific Hannelore Hoger. The film thrilled the audience, won awards and drew the best ZDF crime series to date. "

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm gave the best possible rating (thumbs up) and found: “A captivating crime thriller with realistic characters”.
