Lisa Karlström (* 31 January 1974 in Gävle , Gävleborg ) is one of Sweden coming German actress .

life and career

The daughter of a Swedish dentist came to Germany with her parents, her brother and her sister Ewa Karlström when she was three . In her former place of residence, Ötigheim in Baden , she gained her first stage experience at the age of eight on the large open-air stage there . As a teenager she joined the adult ensemble in the Rastatt basement theater through the theater group of the Rastatt Ludwig-Wilhelm-Gymnasium . In addition, she received dance training and attended acting courses for one year as an exchange student in the USA in 1990/1991 . In the following years she received her first roles in television series and films. In 1993 she played a leading role in the Grimme Prize- winning episode Die Kommissarin of the crime series Bella Block . After graduating from high school, Lisa Karlström began studying art history, philosophy and literature in Karlsruhe , before deciding on acting as a profession. She was admitted to the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts , where she received her acting training from 1995 to 1999.

Lisa Karlström plays almost exclusively in German-speaking countries in theaters and in film productions. From 2001 to 2004 she was part of the ensemble of the Oldenburg State Theater . In 2002 she was nominated for Actress of the Year by Theater heute magazine .

Lisa Karlström speaks Swedish, English, French and German. In addition to standard German, she also speaks Baden dialect . Since 2006 she has also been working as a yoga teacher. From 2014 to 2018 she was engaged at the State Theater Schleswig-Holstein .
