The VBH is a German wholesale company for building hardware . Its customers mainly include manufacturers of windows, doors and furniture as well as metal construction companies . The group's range also includes profiles, elements, tools, machines, security technology, wood-aluminum systems, paints and fire protection. The VBH Group sources its goods from around 1,000 producers and has around 40,000 customers.

Stock exchange listing

The VBH Holding AG share was traded in the official trading of the General Standard on the Stuttgart and Frankfurt stock exchanges and on Xetra from 1989 . With effect from August 27, 2008, VBH Holding AG completed the change from the General Standard to the Prime Standard of the Deutsche Börse in Frankfurt am Main. On March 3, 2009, it was included in the SDAX , where it was listed until June 18, 2010.

In September 2016, the main shareholder TLF Holding AG acquired all shares of the independent VBH shareholders via a squeeze-out process; this also ended the listing on the stock exchange. In January 2017, the name was changed to VBH Holding GmbH.

history

In 1975 Günter Ade and Andreas Schill founded the new company VBH Vereinigte Baubeschlag-Handel with the merger of the two founding companies Schill KG and Schippert Stetter KG . In Germany, the majority of various companies were subsequently taken over. From 1982 the export business was built up with branches in Great Britain and the Netherlands . In 1985 VBH Italia was founded in Bolzano .

In 1987 VBH sold its products domestically from the head office in Korntal-Münchingen via the branches in Kempten (Allgäu) , Regensburg and Würzburg as well as through nine associated companies and 20 external warehouses. From 1975 to 1987 the turnover of the VBH group increased sixfold. The conversion into a stock corporation followed.

In 1989 VBH Vereinigte Baubeschlag Handel AG went public . In 1990 the company founded branches in the new federal states. In 1992, others were founded in Hungary and the Czech Republic , followed by Poland in 1993 and Slovenia soon after . In 1994 Wyckmans in Belgium was acquired. In 1995 VBH gained a foothold in Greece .

The first step to Russia followed in 1995, followed by Bosnia , Romania and the Ukraine . Later the Far East became a destination, with Singapore and China , and Australia was also added. The presence in Great Britain, Italy and Spain was significantly expanded. A branch was established in Dubai in the Middle East . In Europe, Estonia and Latvia were added.
