The VC Olympia Berlin association is the federal base for young volleyball players of the German Volleyball Association (DVV) in Berlin . There are sections for male and female volleyball players in the hall and beach volleyball . Teams take part in adult games with special game rights, so that players of the German national junior team can gain experience in the women's or men's Bundesliga .

concept

The young players of the DVV should also have the opportunity to gain match practice at a high level outside of international matches and training camps. Therefore, upon request, bases are integrated as additional teams in the national leagues. For direct preparation z. For example, the VC Olympia Berlin starts in the 1st or 2nd division of the men and women in the Junior World Championship and concentrates the national players in one team. After each season, funding for indoor volleyball talents at the VC Olympia ends, and subsequent years are raised. Many players use the time in the Bundesliga to present themselves to interested clubs from home and abroad.

mode

The juniors play like a club team in the first or second Bundesliga. The results are included in the evaluation as well as those of the other teams. However, the VC Olympia is not involved in the playoff or cup games. The team also has no influence on the decision in the relegation battle.
