Valentin Otto (politician)

Johann Valentin Otto (born April 11, 1795 in Elpenrod ; † December 25, 1849 in Offenbach am Main ) was a Hessian civil servant and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Life

Valentin Otto was the son of the forester Johann Philipp Otto and his wife Anna Gertraud , née Deibel. Otto, who was Protestant, married Sophie Friederike Christiane nee Weih (e) meyer for the first time. In his second marriage he married Johanette Henriette Karoline Louise nee Dietz (1803-1859) on January 11, 1835 in Langen.

He was a soldier until 1819 (most recently a lieutenant ) and then a civil servant. In 1828 he was chief customs inspector in Offenbach. From 1817 to 1819 he was a member of the Darmstadt blacks .

From 1841 to 1849 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of the city of Offenbach . In 1848 he was a member of the preliminary parliament .
