Assembly of the Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land

The Assembly of Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land (English: The Assembly of the Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land ACOHL , French: Assemblée des Ordinaires Catholiques de Terre Sainte AOCTS ) is an initiative of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land .

The initiative was founded by the Apostolic Delegate in Jerusalem and Palestine to promote unity within the Church of the Holy Land. Pope John Paul II approved the statutes on January 27, 1992. The assembly is composed of the Catholic ordinaries of the various rites responsible for the territory of the Holy Land, including Israel , Palestine , Jordan and Cyprus . The aim is the unity and promotion of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land, in particular the coordination of the Catholic community and the exchange of information among one another.

President is the Maronite Bishop Moussa El-Hage OAM ; The General Secretary is Pietro Felet SCJ . Its headquarters are in the Notre Dame of Jerusalem Center in Jerusalem .
