Victor Luis , full name Victor Luis Chuab Zamblauskas , (born June 23, 1993 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian football player . He is used in the position of a left defender , alternatively he plays in the left or central midfield. His strong foot is the left one.

Victor Luis joined Palmeiras São Paulo in 2003 as a junior player from Portuguesa . Here he went through all youth teams until he was loaned to the second team of FC Porto for a year in July 2012 . Victor Luis played with Porto in the Segunda League . He made his debut in the competition on August 12, 2012 in the 2012/13 season . On this first day of the season, he was in the starting line-up for the game against CD Tondela . Before returning to Brazil, Victor Luis appeared in 18 league games and scored one goal. He succeeded in this on August 22, 2018 in the away game against Portimonense SC . He scored the goal to make it 1-1 in the 6th minute of stoppage time.

After his return to Brazil in June 2013, he did not appear at Palmeiras any more. At the beginning of the 2014 season, Victor Luis was used in the state championship of São Paulo only one game against Paulista FC . The championship season in 2014 then closed but starting with 28 of 38 possible operations (one goal) and three games in the Copa do Brasil in 2014 . Victor Luis played his first Série A on May 18, 2014, the fifth day of the season. In the away game against EC Vitória , he came on in the 90th minute for William Mendieta . On matchday 12 against local rivals Corinthians São Paulo on July 27, 201, Victor Luis was in the starting line-up of Palmeiras for the first time. On July 31, 2014 it was announced that Palmeiras had prematurely extended the contract with Victor Luis until June 2019. Victor Luis scored his first Série A goal on September 17, 2014. In the game against Flamengo Rio de Janeiro , he scored in the 69th minute after submission by Jorge Valdivia to make it 2-2.

After Victor Luis started the 2015 season with Palmeiras in the national championship, he was loaned to Ceará SC for the 2015 championship season. After the season was over, he returned to Palmeiras .

Victor Luis started again in the state championship in 2016 with Palmeiras . To host the championship competition, however, he was loaned out again for the rest of the year. His next stop was the Botafogo FR in Rio de Janeiro . After Victor Luis had shown good performances in 22 league and four cup games, Botafogo sought a contract extension. The club was able to reach an agreement with Palmeiras and continue to borrow Victor Luis until the end of 2017. That year he not only played seven games (one goal) in the Rio de Janeiro national championship , 31 out of 38 possible in the 2017 championship (one goal) and six in the 2017 Copa do Brasil , but he also made his debut in the international ones Club competitions. Botafogo qualified fifth for the 2017 Copa Libertadores in the 2016 season. In the fourteen games that Botafogo played in the tournament, he was on the field 13 times, twelve times in the starting line-up. He made his debut on February 2, 2017. In the second qualifying round, his club met CSD Colo-Colo at home . In the game, Victor Luis was in the starting line-up.

For the 2018 season, Victor Luis returned to Palmeiras and in February extended his contract with the club until the end of 2021. In May it was announced that Palmeiras had rejected an offer from FC Porto to transfer Victor Luis in the amount of three million euros since the club assumes a market value of seven million euros. In the course of the year the player was able to establish himself as a regular in the club. To win the tenth championship title that year , Victor Luis contributed a goal in 22 games.

Victor Luis has Lithuanian roots through his father , which is why he was under observation as early as 2018 at Edgaras Jankauskas, the coach of the Lithuanian national football team . He made contact with Victor Luis for the first time in July 2017. An appeal in 2018 fails because Victor Luis has not yet applied for a second citizenship.
