Vital Corbellini

Vital Corbellini (born December 1, 1959 in Garibaldi , Rio Grande do Sul , Brazil ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Marabá .

Life

Vital Corbellini studied philosophy at the University of Caxias do Sul and Catholic theology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul . He was ordained a priest on December 28, 1986 .

He then worked in various positions in pastoral care , including a. from 1987 to 1988 as chaplain of the parish of São Sebastião in Jaquirana , the parish of Santa Maria do Belo Horizonte in Cazuza Ferreira and the parish of São Francisco de Paula in São Francisco de Paula as well as pastoral care coordinator in the São Francisco de Paula region. From 1988 to 1993 he was pastor of the parish Nossa Senhora Medianeira a Cuiabá . Then he was first parish administrator and later until 2001 pastor of the parish of São Francisco de Assis in Monte Belo do Sul . From 2007 to 2010 he was vicar general of the diocese of Caxias do Sul .

Since 2010 he has been a missionary in East Amazonia and pastor of the parish of São João Batista in Jaru in the diocese of Ji-Paraná .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Marabá on October 10, 2012. He was ordained episcopate on November 30th of the same year by the Bishop of Caxias do Sul , Alessandro Carmelo Ruffinoni CS ; Co- consecrators were Alberto Taveira Corrêa , Archbishop of Belém do Pará , and Bruno Pedron SDB , Bishop of Ji-Paraná. The inauguration in the Diocese of Marabá took place on December 21, 2012.
