Viva! Hysteria is a live album released in 2013 by the British hard rock band Def Leppard , with which the group documented their eleven appearances during the so-called "residency" at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas .

background

From March 22nd to April 13th, 2013 Def Leppard performed as part of an eleven appearance at "The Joint" of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas to perform all the songs from their hit album Hysteria , released in 1987, live in front of an audience. The series of titles was adhered to exactly.

There was no real opening act at the concerts, instead the band performed under the name “Ded Flatbird” themselves in their opening act and played numerous songs from their early years, mainly from the albums On Through the Night and High n 'Dry . The performances of “Ded Flatbird” on March 29th and 30th, 2013 were recorded and were included on a second CD. In addition, the entire concert was filmed for video release.

Viva! Hysteria was from 18 October 2013 as a download version as a double CD and a video version as DVD and Blu-ray Disc available

Hysteria, although “the singer repeatedly struggled vocally during the concert”, the band decided “against perfection and for unadorned truths: there was no improvement.” Back ”, could“ allow yourself a croak or two. ” Viva! Hysteria is "a sincere, thoroughly sympathetic high-gloss production that does justice to Def Leppard's present day".
