Wadi al-Haya ( Arabic وادي الحياة, DMG Wādī al-Ḥayā ) is a municipality located in the center of the Libyan Arab Republic . The main town is Ubari with 24,918 inhabitants.
geography
The livelihood of the area is primarily an underground river of the same name, whose groundwater is close enough to the surface to be pumped. In the entire area of Wadi al-Haya, 72,587 people (as of 2003) live on a total area of 31,890 km². In 2006 there were 76,858 people. The municipality has the following limits to the other municipalities:
- Municipality of Wadi ash-Shati ' - North
- Sabha Municipality - East
- Municipality of Murzuq - south
- Munizip Ghat - west
The municipal area remained untouched during the 2007 Libyan administrative reform.
