geography

course

The Wahbach rises in the Rothaar Mountains on the northeast slope of the Spreitzkopf ( 627  m ). The sources of its two spring rivulets are each around 530  m above sea level. NHN ; the western trickle is about 150 m and the eastern one about 100 m long. They unite 1.5 km northeast of the Bad Laaspher district of Hesselbach , 600 m southeast of the summit of the Spreitzkopf and 1.2 km southeast of that of the Großer Ahlertsberg ; 2.9 km east of the confluence in the neighboring state of Hesse is the Breidenbach district of Wiesenbach, which is located away from the stream .

The Wahbach flows several kilometers to just above Bad Laasphe through the eponymous nature reserve Wahbachtal  - initially on its border. It runs in a predominantly northeastern direction. Then he reaches the Bad Laaspher city center, where he passes the Wahbachstadion and Wahbachbad named after him .

The Wahbach flows for the last few meters in the municipal sewer system before it flows into the Rhine tributary Lahn coming from the east in Bad Laasphe at around 325  m above sea level - a few meters west above the bridge of Kreisstraße  36 over the Lahn.
