The constituency of Austria under the Enns 15 was a constituency for the elections to the House of Representatives in the Austrian crown land of Austria under the Enns . The electoral district was created in 1907 with the introduction of the Reichsrat election regulations and existed until the collapse of the Habsburg monarchy .
history
After the Reichsrat had decided on the general, equal, secret and direct male suffrage in autumn 1906, the major reform of the electoral law through the sanctioning of Emperor Franz Joseph I came into effect on January 26, 1907 . With the new Reichsrat election order, a total of 516 electoral districts were created, with one member being elected in each constituency with the exception of Galicia in the course of the Reichsrat election. The MP had to prevail with an absolute majority in the first ballot or in a runoff election. The constituency of Austria under the Enns 15 comprised that part of Vienna's 7th district of Neubau , the north of the Westbahnstrasse line. Neubaugasse and Burggasse is located.
From the Imperial Council election in 1907 was Albert Gessmann ( Christian Social Party ) produced in the first round as the winner. He was able to prevail with 60 percent of the vote and thus clearly distance the Social Democrat Josef Tobola, who achieved 21 percent. However, Gessmann accepted a mandate in constituency 38 , whereupon a month later a replacement election was carried out, in which his party colleague Johann Pabst also prevailed with 60 percent in the first ballot. Tomola competed again and this time came to 25 percent. The 1911 Reichsrat election was won by the liberal German Otto Ganser , who won the runoff election against Pabst with 55 percent.
