Elected to the Legislative Assembly of the Gold Coast in 1956
The 1956 Gold Coast Legislative Assembly elections were held on July 17th. Estimates put the number of voters at around 1,390,000. A total of 104 seats were awarded in these elections. The winner of the election was the Convention People's Party of the later Prime Minister Kwame Nkrumah .
