The Riesa I constituency was a state electoral district for the state elections in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. Its constituency number was 20.

The constituency comprised part of the cities and municipalities of the Riesa district : Bahra , Bloßwitz , Bobersen , Boritz , Gohlis , Heyda , Jacobsthal , Jahnishausen , Kreinitz , Leutewitz , Lorenzkirch , Mautitz , Mehltheuer , Nickritz , Paußnitz , Plotitz , Prausitz , Riesa , Röderau , Seerhausen , Stauchitz , Strehla and Zeithain .

For the 1994 state elections , the constituency structure was changed as a result of the district reform, and the number of constituencies was reduced from 80 to 60. The area of ​​the constituency Riesa I became part of the constituency Riesa-Großenhain 1 .
