Walterschlag is a village and a cadastral municipality in the Bad Traunstein municipality in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 15 building areas with 5,420 m² and 4 gardens on 459 m² in the cadastral community Walterschlag , in 1989/1990 there were 15 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 32 and in 2009/2010 there were 25 buildings on 31 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 79 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 34 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 77 hectares and 35 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 73 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 35 hectares. The average soil climate of Walterschlag is 22.9 (as of 2010).
