Career

Norris began his professional ice hockey career on the University of Massachusetts team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association and moved to the American Hockey League in 1996 . At the end of the 1990s he was called up to the Canadian national team twice, where he scored 53 points in 73 games. After several years in the International Hockey League , he ventured to Europe in 2000, initially playing for the British club Sheffield Steelers and the Slovak club HC Slovan Bratislava , before joining the Graz 99ers in 2003 , where he quickly became a public favorite.

The 2004/05 season was his most successful. He scored 40 goals in 44 games, setting the season record. After he had strengthened HC Lugano in the playoffs in 2006 , he came to the EC KAC . His first season for the new club was still mixed, he was only able to show his qualities again in 2007/08, so that the EC KAC extended the contract with him in spring 2008 for another two years. Together with Gregor Hager , he was dangerous in the 2007/08 season, especially when they were outnumbered and had a total of two underpaid goals and three similar assists. In the 2008/09 season he was Austrian ice hockey champion with the EC KAC. For the 2009/10 season he returned to the Graz 99ers, for which the left shooter was still active for two seasons, after which he finally ended his professional career.
