The White Bridge is a bridge in Munich . It is part of the Mittlerer Ring and leads the Isarring over the Schwabinger Bach . The bridge is also called Auenbrücke or Biedersteiner Bridge .

location

The White Bridge is located in Munich's Schwabing district in the 12 Schwabing-Freimann district north of Lake Kleinhesseloher .

history

As early as 1806, a bridge crossed the Schwabinger Bach at this point, which was replaced by a new building in 1893. While these structures were constructed as wooden bridges, a plate-beam bridge made of reinforced concrete slabs was built in 1924, but Megele mentions 1927 as the year of construction.

In the course of the realization of a road connection planned for the first time in 1910 over the Isar to the Herzogpark , which was built after the Second World War as part of the planned Middle Ring, the bridge was rebuilt in 1950/51.

description
