The Weihertalkopf nature reserve is located in the Südwestpfalz district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The approximately 20 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 2003 , extends west of the local community of Nünschweiler directly on state road 471 on the northern edge . The A 8 runs not far south of the area .

The purpose of protection is the maintenance, development and restoration, in particular, of limestone grassland and extensive grassland and the preservation of woody plants, hedges , forest and forest fringes, etc. a. as core areas of a networked biotope system of the limestone grasslands of the Zweibrücken hill country .
