The nature reserve Wolfslöcher is located in the district of Südwestpfalz in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The approximately 90 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1983 , extends southwest of the local community of Lemberg directly on state road 485 , which passes on the southern edge . The Salzbach flows not far to the east .

The protection purpose is the preservation and development of the near-natural to natural, highly specialized animal and plant communities in the "Wolfsloch", in particular the preservation of the moor vegetation in the valley floodplain with its typical fauna, the preservation and expansion of the alder vegetation , the preservation and securing of the spring niches and rock structures the Karlstalschichten with the forest areas surrounding the area as well as the preservation of small-scale biotope aspects of highly specialized animal species for mainly scientific reasons and because of the extreme rarity and endangerment of communities and habitats.
