The source brooks nature reserve of the Eppenbrunner Baches is located in the district of Südwestpfalz in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 94 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1991 , extends south of the Eppenbrunn community . The Eppenbrunner Bach flows northwest of the area. State road 478 runs north, and the state border with France runs to the west and south .

The protective purpose is the preservation and development of the source brooks of the Eppenbrunn brook and its brook valleys with the existing reservoirs and their siltation zones , the area, intermediate moor and source areas, the sedge rivers , wet meadows , fallow meadows, the source, quarry forest and alluvial forest areas as well as near-natural old wood stocks and the dry and rocky areas and a. because of their special character and outstanding beauty.
