Werner Groß (judge, 1910)

Werner Groß (born March 14, 1910 in Magdeburg ; † April 6, 1983 in Lüneburg ) was a German judge and state secretary in Lower Saxony .

Life

Groß studied law at the Albertus University in Königsberg and at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . Groß was a member of the SPD and the Landsmannschaft Hammonia-Marko Natangia Hamburg (from 1953 as the successor to the Königsberg Landsmannschaft Marko Natangia). In 1937 he married his wife Ruth nee Weber, with whom he has three children. From 1936 to 1951 he worked in the administrative service in Prussia, Schleswig-Holstein and most recently as a government director in Lower Saxony. From 1951 to 1958 he was Senate President at the Lüneburg Higher Administrative Court for the federal states of Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein. 1957 to 1964 member of the Lower Saxony State Court and 1958 to 1964 President of the Braunschweig Administrative Court . Subsequently from 1964 to 1970 as State Secretary under Prime Minister Georg Diederichs in the Lower Saxony State Chancellery . From 1971 to 1976 he was again a member of the Lower Saxony State Court of Justice and was its vice-president from 1972 to 1974 and president from 1974 to 1976.
