Jörg Mielke (born June 15, 1959 in Hagen , Westphalia ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and has been head of the Lower Saxony State Chancellery with the title of State Secretary since February 19, 2013 .

Life

Jörg Mielke studied law at the University of Göttingen from 1979 to 1984 , where he graduated with the first state examination. He then worked from 1984 to 1987 at Göttingen University as a research assistant. Between 1987 and 1990 Mielke completed his legal clerkship in Bremen . In 1989 he received his doctorate in Göttingen.

District Administrator

Between 1991 and 1995 Mielke headed the legal office in the Osterholz district . In 1995 he was appointed head of the building, environment, culture and tourism department; he headed the department until the end of 2004. In January 2005 was appointed Jörg Mielke with the support of the SPD district Osterholz with 62.26% of all votes elected the district. In September 2014, allegations of corruption were made during his tenure as district administrator in connection with a chemical company in Ritterhude .
