Wilhelm Holtzmann

Wilhelm Karl Adolf Holtzmann (born November 29, 1847 in Karlsruhe ; † September 19, 1914 Karlsruhe) was a jurist and official member of the Baden state service since 1874 , comparable to today's district administrator .

Wilhelm Holtzmann was the son of Adolf Holtzmann (* May 2, 1810 in Karlsruhe, † July 3, 1870 in Heidelberg ), court advisor and professor of German philology , and Luise, née Wundt. On February 10, 1877, he married Luise, née Posselt (* September 27, 1851), daughter of Dr. Wilhelm Posselt, professor and general practitioner, and Babette, nee Landfried. The daughter Luise (born February 17, 1878) comes from this marriage.

education

After 1866 the lyceum stored Heidelberg High School studied Holtzman from the winter semester 1866/67 Law at the University of Heidelberg and then in the summer semester 1867 at the University of Göttingen . From the winter semester 1867/68 to the summer semester 1868 he studied again at the University of Heidelberg and then in the winter semester 1868/69 at the University of Berlin . He then moved back to Heidelberg University, where he completed his studies in 1870. From March 14, 1871 he was a trainee at the Karlsruhe District Court , then from December 11, 1871 at the Offenburg District Office and finally from February 19, 1872 in the secretariat of the Ministry of the Grand Ducal House, Justice and Foreign Affairs. On July 3, 1872, he became a trainee at the Sinsheim District Court and then at the Karlsruhe District and Court Court . After the second state examination in May 1873, he took six months' leave to improve his French language skills in Switzerland .
