William A. Elliott

William Arthur Elliott (born April 12, 1953 in Los Angeles , United States ) is an American film architect .

Life

Elliott began his film career as an assistant and right-hand man to Ida Random , most recently working on the comedy Just Like Last Night . In 1986 he was promoted to co-chief architect and received an Oscar nomination in 1988 with his first work, the designs for Brian De Palma's gangster film Die Unbrechlichen , developed with Patrizia von Brandensteins .

Elliott has been solely responsible since 1989 and has designed the film structures for a plethora of commercial entertainment films, including a large number of comedies with Jim Carrey , Eddie Murphy and Charlie Sheen, as well as several critically panned comedy parodies in the new millennium.

His son Tyler M. Elliott (* Los Angeles June 15, 1977) works in various functions, especially as a location manager, also in the film business.
