Reviews

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times of 28 August 1992, the film would have a large portion of stupidity ( goofiness include). The Presley group appearing at the end of the film would not surprise, but follow the logic of the film; The act would be silly ( dumb ) enough for a sitcom. Ebert praised the portrayal of Nicolas Cage.

Prisma-online.de certified furious gags and surprising twists and turns , the portrayal of Nicolas Cage was praised.

The lexicon of international films writes that the film is giving away the possibility of intelligent entertainment anchored in the script and that the story is merely routine .

TV Spielfilm describes the film as a heartfelt homage to old Hollywood romances .
