Willy Hahn (architect)

Willy Hahn (born November 1, 1887 in Krieschow ; † July 12, 1930 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German architect , town planner and municipal building officer .

Life

Hahn studied architecture at the Technical University (Berlin-) Charlottenburg and at the Technical University Dresden . He initially worked as a salaried architect, u. a. with Albert Gessner , Hans Bernoulli and Heinrich Tessenow , as well as in the city planning authorities in Berlin , Hamburg and Duisburg . In 1919 he received his doctorate at the Technical University of Dresden with the dissertation The Organization of Settlements in German Cities as a Dr.-Ing.

In 1920 he became town planning officer in Rüstringen as the successor to Martin Wagner , and from 1922 he held the same position in Kiel . Hahn died in Freiburg im Breisgau in 1930.

To Hahn's most important works in conjunction with one Leberecht Migge processed green areas and urban plan for Kiel from 1922, which in the course of Kiel green belt has been configured. The City Council Hahn Park in Kiel's Wellingdorf district is named after Hahn .
