Winfried Hennig

Winfried Hennig (born August 23, 1941 in Leipzig ) is a German stage designer , film and television.

Life

Hennig came to western Germany in 1950 and grew up in Lower Saxony for the next ten years . In 1960 he went to Munich , began his practical training as a theater painter at the Bavarian State Opera and received his theoretical instruction at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts . From 1971 to 1973 he worked as a set designer at the Münchner Kammerspiele , after which he worked as a freelancer.

In 1975 Hennig was brought in by the architect Nikos Perakis as his right-hand man for the film Berlinger . Also in 1975, the Leipziger designed his first own movie decorations. In his role as film architect, Winfried Hennig was primarily active for key representatives of young German film , alongside Perakis also Alexander Kluge , Edgar Reitz , Reinhard Hauff , Margarethe von Trotta and Alf Brustellin . In addition, he also took care of the visual design of satirical-parodistic works by Gerhard Polt ( Kehraus and Man sprach deutsh ) and Loriot ( Pappa ante portas ). His television designs mainly decorated Dieter Wedel's high-quality productions ( Black Red Gold , Wilder West inclusive , The Great Bellheim , The Shadow Man and The Semmeling Affair ).
