Wut im Bauch is a ZDF film that is part of the series Kommissarin Lucas . Christiane Balthasar directed the television film, which was broadcast in 2008 . Not only that Ellen Lucas ( Ulrike Kriener ) has to solve her eighth case, there is also a double concern on her shoulders, once for her sister Rike ( Anke Engelke ), who is in the hands of Robert Jandt ( Ronald Zehrfeld ) , who has been convicted of rape and on the other hand, her colleague Stefan Deuter ( Thure Riefenstein ) is seriously injured in the hospital. The other guest stars of this episode are Henny Reents , Kathrin Kühnel , Hansjürgen Hürrig and Johanna Liebeneiner .

action

Chief Detective Ellen Lucas is very concerned about her colleague Stefan Deuter, who is critically injured in hospital. The father of a young man whom Deuter shot while exercising his profession in self-defense stabbed him wordlessly during the funeral of the police chief. Lucas is astonished to note that Deuter had submitted his resignation without her knowing about it.

Another concern torments the commissioner when her colleague Boris Noethen informs her that Robert Jandt, with whom her younger sister Rike has been dating for a short time, is a lawfully convicted violent criminal who has not been released for a long time. However, a conversation with the impulsive Rike does not lead any further, as she is firmly convinced that Jandt is no longer a danger and is absolutely sure of her love for him. However, Ellen's first impression of the young man was also rather positive.

When Anna Wiedemann, the daughter of the former colleague chief detective Karl Wiedemann, becomes the victim of a serious violent crime in Jandt's signature, he is immediately suspect. Since the victim is not yet able to be questioned, one relies on the traces found at the scene of the crime, which speak a clear language and are similar in pattern to the crime for which Jandt was sentenced to five years in prison. The victim at the time was his divorced wife Jule Kieling, who was close friends with Anna Wiedemann at the time. At the time, she had played a key role in the arrest of Jandt. Now Anna's parents in particular assume that he wanted revenge. However, after having asserted in vain that he had nothing to do with the attack on Anna Wiedemann, Jandt managed to escape from custody and take Rike hostage.

Lucas is deeply concerned about her sister, but also knows that she can only help her if she manages to get Jule Kieling and Anna Wiedemann to break their silence about what happened back then. Kieling tells her that Jandt did not rape her at the time, but that Karl Wiedemann advised her to testify so that Jandt would be locked up forever. After Anna Wiedemann can be questioned, she is rushed to the hospital by her father and confirms his statement that Jandt had attacked and raped her. Lucas tells Noethen that she is lying for her father and asks herself why. She gets the answer only a little later after cornering her father and daughter in an interrogation. The actual perpetrator is Anna's close friend Walter Keller, who was terrified that Anna, who at the time had a relationship with Robert Jandt, who was very popular with women, would resume this after his release from prison. Anna had made the mistake of sleeping with him once, but quickly realized that although she liked him a lot as a friend, she didn't like him anymore either. After she told her father that it was Walter who did this to her, he took the right in his hand and helped Walter to hang himself. Robert Jandt, whom he had already played badly with at the time, was now to serve for the crime against his daughter so that the thought should not arise that he had something to do with the matter.

When the colleagues want to visit Stefan Deuter in the hospital, they find out that he didn't make it. At his funeral, Noethen told Lucas that Stefan hadn't told her about his resignation because he was sure that she would have dissuaded him.

Production notes, publication, background

Wut im Bauch was filmed from September 10 to November 23, 2007 in Regensburg and Munich and premiered on April 5, 2008 in prime time on ZDF .

Episodes 7–12 were released on DVD on September 16, 2016 by Studio Hamburg Enterprises.

ZDF editor Wolfgang Feindt announced that the authors can think of a lot more about the role of Rike, which was introduced in episode 6. Rike, who is “spontaneous, erratic and sociable”, should “make the often gruff and still marked by the death of her husband appear softer” and thereby give her the opportunity to “show feelings” more often. In “this constellation” you are “only at the beginning”.

criticism

TV Spielfilm said, “In the usual crime investigation, finely woven psychological tension mixes”. Conclusion: Well-sounded crime thriller.

Rainer Tittelbach wrote on his page tittelbach.tv : “A difficult part for Anke Engelke in the 'Commissioner Lucas' series”. “A little too didactic” is “the story ('When is guilt settled, or is there guilt that outlasts time?'), But the plot of this ZDF crime thriller is all the more unusual”.

Manuel Weis fromquotemeter.de counts Commissioner Lucas "among the top 3 of the series that ZDF shows on Saturday evening". The present crime case could also be “seen”. Weis continued: “During the 90 minutes, however, the impression often crepts that the creators have not approached quite as much creativity this time. The film is characterized by a breathtakingly fast narrative for ZDF standards - at least if you don't count the first few minutes of the film. ”And further:“ Somehow ”it is“ 0815 - but just exciting ”. "Music and editing" are - "excellent as always" - and "there is not a bad word to say about the main actors either". Regarding Anke Engelke's performance, it was found that “the comedian not only has the ability to make people laugh, but also acts really well”.

Kino.de stated that "Thomas Bergerdirected 'Kommissarin Lucas' seven times", the eighth time he "limited himself to the script" and left the production to Christiane Balthasar. This has already shown [...] that “they are not afraid of big names”. It went on: “After all, the crime thriller ends like others begin: with a murder. A gloomy yet delightful story that only irritates in one respect: As in the penultimate case, 'German Angst', Lucas also appears in other people's flashbacks ”.

Thomas Gehringer from Tagesspiegel referred to Anke Engelke's participation and wrote that she was to be seen in this episode “in a difficult role as an insecure and threatened woman who could not renounce her love for her violent boyfriend”. She played "Rike, plagued by conflicting emotions, convincingly, especially: with a restrained temperament".
