action
The Regensburg chief detective Ellen Lucas investigates the death of Josef Gerlach, who was killed in a deliberately laid fire. Together with his brother Reinhold, Gerlach cultivated large fields of grain. Because they used the controversial drug glyphosate , they had many unpleasant arguments with the environmental activists of the group "New World", who repeatedly threatened the two and even made a cell phone video of it. The two young members David Buske and Marie Bacher in particular are rebellious and demonstrate against Gerlach's ideology. But when group leader Paul Krenn, a friend of Buske and Bacher's, is found murdered a little later, Lucas has to conduct the investigation in a completely different way. In doing so, she comes across an ex-member of the New World, Hanna Manz, who is in a wheelchair due to an accident. Manz persistently remains silent about the true background of the accident. Lucas brings Hanna Manz and her former best friend Marie Bacher together in the police station, and Hanna Manz actually breaks her silence.
