Wolfgang Bernhard (* 3. September 1960 in Böhen , Unterallgäu as Wolfgang Ayerle ) is a German manager . Bernhard had been a member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG since February 1, 2005. In April 2013, Bernhard took over the management of Daimler Trucks and Daimler Buses. The manager did not want to extend his contract, which expired in February 2018. As a result, Bernhard was released from his board duties in February 2017.
